For quite some time, I've been really against the idea of posting 'life' posts online, mainly because I'm trying to focus on 'proper content' that will get you guys engaged and interested. However, I just wanted to share a little update with you all as to why I may be a little quiet on here. Unfortunately, on Saturday my Grandma passed away. My family's just in shock right now and for me, it still doesn't feel like it's happened but it has. The only two deaths I'm aware of ever experiencing were my Granny when I was little (which I barely remember) and my cat's (saddest day of my life, for real). I just feel really, really sad, which I hope you can agree is understandable. I get most upset for my Granddad and just hope every day that he's ok. It's very upsetting that it's happened at this time of the year, as it's so important you spend this time of the year with your family, which I'm now ensuring I'll most definitely be doing. Wherever my Grandma is right now, I hope she's well.
So if things get a little quiet on here, it's most likely because of this sad event and I hope you can understand, so please bare with.
In other news, prior to this I had one of the happiest evenings ever when I saw one of my ultimate favourite's, Marina and The Diamonds live. Sorry to sound incredibly soppy and cringe, but her music seriously got me through some pretty pants times in my life (and is most certainly now), so to see her sing several of those poignant songs live, and be within a few feet of me, eye contact and all, was amazing. It almost didn't happen but I'm so glad it did and she really is one of the best, if not the best live acts I've ever seen (better than Britney, but shh).
We also put up our Christmas tree over the weekend which was a perfect distraction, and seriously put me in the festive mood! We've gone for a real tree, which is very normal for me as I've grown up having a real tree every year. I also feel part of the magic is going out to pick the perfect tree, rather than dusting it off from under the bed or wherever you keep it. I went for a copper-y, champagne-y gold sort of theme, with a few comedy decorations (thanks Paperchase) which I hope will become memorable decorations over the years! I must say, it's the best Christmas tree I've ever had, and I feel so proud of it!
What have you all been up to recently? Are you all feeling festive? Let me know any updates in your life you'd like to share, I love hearing from you!
